Step 1: Consultation and Hair Analysis (15 minutes)
Your keratin journey begins with a thorough consultation with one of our Hair Directors or Senior Stylists. We’ll discuss your hair goals, analyze your hair type and condition, and recommend the ideal keratin formula and technique. This is the perfect time to ask questions about the process, timing, and expected results.
Step 2: Clarifying Wash (15 minutes)
We begin by washing your hair with a clarifying shampoo to remove all product buildup, oils, and impurities. This deep cleansing step is crucial—it opens the hair cuticle and prepares your strands to absorb the maximum amount of keratin treatment.
Step 3: Keratin Application (30-60 minutes)
Our stylists carefully apply the keratin formula to your hair in small sections, ensuring every strand is thoroughly saturated. We use premium smoothing systems including Brae Divine, Brae Express, Kerastraight, and Hair Botox, depending on your chosen treatment. The application time varies based on your hair length and thickness—expect 30 minutes for short hair and up to 60 minutes for extra-long hair.
Step 4: Processing Time (30-40 minutes)
Once applied, the keratin formula needs time to penetrate your hair shaft. During this processing period, you can relax in our luxury styling chairs or enjoy a complimentary head massage. Our Abu Dhabi and Dubai locations feature comfortable seating areas with refreshments.
Step 5: Blow Dry and Heat Sealing (45-90 minutes)
This is where the magic happens. Your stylist will carefully blow dry your hair completely straight, then use a flat iron heated to the precise temperature for your hair type to seal the keratin into each strand. This heat activation step locks in the smoothing formula, creating that silky, frizz-free finish. The time required depends on your hair length and density.
Step 6: Final Wash and Style (30 minutes)
Depending on the specific keratin treatment formula, you may receive a final wash and blow dry at the salon (for same-day wash formulas like our express treatments), or we’ll provide detailed instructions for washing at home after 24-72 hours. Either way, you’ll leave the salon with gorgeously smooth hair.
